This Introduction to Leadership course describes basic leadership and management skills and the main differences between these, the role of coaching in the workplace to empower employees and how teams develop and the implications for leadership.

Coaching techniques are reviewed, referring to the commonly used GROW model. How can a leader develop their team, using the four stage model of ‘Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing’ and how can they develop skills and techniques for different teams with varying needs? What are the keys skills needed by any leader?
