Package description
We’ve packaged together two of our best-selling courses, First Aid Primary Survey and Fire Safety, to create a training pack suitable for the workplace. CPD certified. Learners can complete in two to four hours.
Why take this First Aid and Fire Safety Training?
A basic understanding of first aid will help learners know what to do if they are first on the scene of an accident, including how to assess the situation as a potential danger zone and how to assess the condition of a casualty.
Employers are legally required by Fire Safety Regulations (The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005) to provide information, instruction and training to employees about fire precautions in the workplace.
First Aid e-learning content
After taking the First Aid Primary Survey course, learners will:
- Know what to do if you are first on the scene of an accident
- Be able to assess the situation as a potential danger zone
- Understand Danger, Response, Airways, Breathing and Circulation
- Understand the importance of the recovery position and how to apply it
Fire Safety e-learning content
After taking the Fire Safety course, learners will:
- Understand the key legislation involving fire safety

Accreditation
The content of this training has been independently certified as conforming to universally accepted Continuous Professional Development (CPD) guidelines.
Duration
Both courses usually take between one and two hours each to complete, depending on the speed of learning. Learners do not have to complete all the training in one session as progress is recorded throughout and the training can be paused and resumed in our learning management system at any time.
Target audience
This training is aimed primarily at businesses who want to train their staff in fire safety procedures in the workplace and provide them a basic understanding of first aid principles.
Please note that the first aid training will not make your staff qualified first aiders. In order for someone to become a qualified first aider, further training that includes at least 18 training and assessment contact hours is required. More information on the legal duties of an employer can be found at: http://www.hse.gov.uk/firstaid/legislation.htm
Entry requirements
There are no entry requirements for taking this training.
Tests and certificates
Each end of course test consists of 15 multiple choice questions. Learners are required to achieve a 75% pass mark, and, if necessary, may attempt the test three times at no extra cost.
If learners do not achieve the 75% pass mark, further attempts may be given by contacting our support team.
Learners will be able to download a digital certificate on completion of each course. This can be printed, and we suggest you keep it for your records.
