Course Description

The Consumer Rights Act 2015 is a key piece of legislation within the retail industry and is something that all vendors need to have an awareness off. This course provides traders with jargon-free, step by step guidance to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 which outlines a single set of rights for consumers when they buy goods, digital content or services and clarifies the current legal framework.

The course looks at the law and how it affected contracts that were entered into from 1st October 2015 to identify where the changes occurred and how they shaped the current retail market. It provides a simple guide to important legal words used in the Act and looks at the law through the eyes of a range of typical businesses.

By using a series of scenarios, quizzes and challenges to examine the practical implications of the Act, this course periodically tests your knowledge and understanding to ensure that all learnings are taken on-board. Prompt sheets are built up throughout the course to help the learner understand consumers’ rights and the process of providing remedies to consumer complaints.

This course has been brought to you through a partnership between Virtual College and the Chartered Trading Standards Institute.
