Manual Handling and First Aid Training Package

£36.00

Employers have a legal requirement to take reasonable steps to safeguard the health and safety of all employees, including increasing awareness about potential hazards, and outlining what can be done to minimise risk. The Manual Handling course will help learners understand the correct manual handling procedures to apply to be able to reduce their chance of incurring an injury while handling loads. The First Aid Primary Survey course will help learners to react appropriately when they are first on the scene of an incident involving a casualty and know what necessary steps to take. The Manual Handling and First Aid training pack is made up of our popular online courses, Manual Handling in the Workplace and First Aid Primary Survey (developed in partnership with leading national training provider, First Response Training). Both of these courses are CPD certified.

Who should take this course and why?

This training is aimed primarily at businesses who want to train their staff in manual handling and provide them a basic understanding of first aid principles. The course provides a general overview of how to stay safe when manual handling, as well as how to act effectively in the event of an incident requiring first aid assistance.

Please note that the first aid training will not make your staff qualified first aiders. In order for someone to become a qualified first aider, further training that includes at least 18 training and assessment contact hours is required. More information on the legal duties of an employer can be found at hse.gov.uk
